1. Perform a Full System Reset
- Turn off and completely unplug the dehumidifier from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 10 to 15 minutes to let the internal components and sensors discharge completely.
- Plug the unit back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.
2. Clean the Air Filter and Check for Obstructions
- Restricted airflow caused by a dirty filter or blocked vents can cause the system to overheat and trigger a sensor error.
- Locate the filter behind the rear grill. Remove it, vacuum or rinse it gently with warm water, and let it dry completely before replacing it.
- Ensure the unit is situated in an open area with plenty of clearance for the air intake and exhaust.
3. Check for Drainage Issues
- Sometimes an E5 code can be indirectly caused by water backing up or a faulty water-level/float sensor. Ensure the water tank is completely empty and securely clicked into place, or check that your continuous drain hose isn't kinked or blocked
