The control panel on this machine has 4 target humidity settings:
= Continue = 30%. This is for drying very damp areas or for drying washing in a domestic laundry environment. Note: ensure that NO items being dried can come within 1 metre of the machine.
40% is the lower end of the normal range for a healthy humidity in a room.
50% is the upper end of the normal range for a healthy humidity in a room.
60% can be selected where slightly higher humidity is acceptable/desired.
To set the ‘Target Humidity’ press the button until the desired setting is indicated.
If you want your dehumidifier to continue running regardless of the Relative Humidity, set the Target Humidity to ‘Continue’. The dehumidifier will continue to run until the water tank is full.
Please note that your dehumidifier cannot be used to increase the level of humidity in a room, it is designed to reduce the humidity level to the level you select.
Sometimes when the room is well below 20 degrees the machine will not be as effective and can switch in and out of ‘defrost’ mode. If you want to overcome this you can place a heater in the room (at least 2 meters away from the Dehumidifier) so that the room is within the optimum operating temperature of 20 to 30 Degrees Celsius. Usually a setting of 40 to 50 percent is adequate depending on the conditions.
