Preparation & setting up your dehumidifier

• Place the dehumidifier in the worst moisture affected room
• Close windows and doors to speed up the drying process
• Open wardrobe doors, particularly if the wardrobes are musty and affected by moisture

Drain options

• Water tank option – remove and empty water tank each time it fills with water (recommended)
• Continuous drainage hose option – allows you to bypass the dehumidifier’s water tank, which avoids the need to physically empty the water tank each time it fills. Water is drained by gravity i.e. hose outlet must be lower than dehumidifier drainage outlet.

Initial deep-down drying

Commence by deep-down drying the rooms in your home using the ‘Dry’ mode.

This mode will remove excess moisture levels in your furnishings, walls and ceiling therefore returning your room to its original dry condition.

To achieve deep down drying of each room, we recommend the following steps:

• Select the ‘Dry Mode’ key and press ‘High’ key. This will allow the dehumidifier to lower the humidity to approx. 40% – 45%RH, achieving quicker and more efficient drying.
• The dehumidifier will stop dehumidifying when the humidity target is reached, but the fan will keep running for ventilation, using minimal power consumption.
• The dehumidifier will stop automatically when the water tank is full.
• Empty the water tank and continue use.
• Continue this drying process for 1 – 3 days in each room. This period can vary depending on severity of moisture, size of room & temperature.

Note 1: Reduced moisture collection in the water tank may be an indication that the
dehumidifier has removed or nearly removed the excess moisture e.g. the dehumidifier’s
water tank has filled once or twice, but it then takes several hours to collect a very
small amount of water.

Note 2: You may also feel warm dried air coming out from the air outlet during
dehumidifying, and feel only cool air during ventilation.

Note 3: The dehumidifier should be rested for 2-3 minutes before emptying the water tank. This will allow the moisture to fully drain before removing the water tank.

Follow up or maintenance drying

Option 1

This will help prevent your room & furnishings from reverting back to excessive moisture levels. The regularity of this drying will vary, according to the weather conditions & seasonal conditions – generally from a week or two, through to several months apart in dryer seasons.

With periodic follow up drying, we recommend following the same steps as above (initial deep-down drying), however you will only need to run the dehumidifier approximately 8 – 12 hours at a time.

Option 2

You might also choose to operate the dehumidifier continuously with ’Low’ or ‘Auto’ Dry Mode (after the deep-down drying process has been completed).

Reasons for doing so may include:

a) Ongoing protection of property, collectables & other valuables such as stamps,
books, artwork, etc.

b) Freshen up after home/room closure for prolonged periods

We recommend the following step if you wish to achieve continuous constant humidity levels:

• Select the ‘Dry Mode’ key and press ‘Low’ or ‘Auto’ key. This will allow the dehumidifier to automatically maintain the humidity level at approx. 55-60%RH for as long as you choose. When using ‘Low’ mode, the fan will operate at low speed. When using ‘Auto’ mode, the fan will operate on high speed when humidity is high, and then return to low speed when the humidity is lower.

Laundry mode for drying clothes

This mode is ideal for drying clothes or other property within the home. Quicker drying is achieved using the “Turbo” key because it will automatically provide heated air, which can be directed in accordance with the ‘swing’ louvers.
